These cute decorations are another example of using a simple shape and just changing the accessories to create a different look.

Santa Star Christmas Decoration

Materials:

Red plaid flannel
Poly-Fill
White embroidery thread and needle
White felt
White Fun Fur Fabric
Red Flannel
Oatmeal colored wool
Peppercorns
Hot Glue gun and glue

  1. Cut the five-pointed star from a piece of doubled red plaid flannel material so you end up with two star shapes.
  2. Then with white embroidery thread simply stitch the two pieces together and leave an opening at the top of one point to insert the stuffing. Stuff body until pump with poly-fill and stitch closed.
  3. Cut a small triangle of white flannel and glue to that top point as a face. Loop a bunch of wool together and tie in the center and glue in around face with your hot glue gun (I used a very curly oatmeal colored wool).
  4. Cut out a thin of White Fun Fur Fabric to use as hat cuff and a rectangle shape piece of red flannel for the hat. With the red flannel fabric for the hat, stitch the sides together to make an open end tube shape and tie a piece of white wool around to close top.
  5. Glue to top of head. Then glue fringe of white Fun Fur Fabric around hat.
  6. For the eyes, use two peppercorns and glue then in place.
